about once every day when i type in the wordpress address in my address bar, the usual one, wordpress.com i am hijacked to an alien site, its writings are in arabic so i dont know what its all about but the address in the address bar shows wordpress.com- i have checked it four or five times but the address is accurate in the address bar yet the site opens brazenly.
anyone else having this problem?

your browser might be infected by a malicious site. Try using some malware remover tool and detect and delete all cookies beside what the malware remover suggests!
i dont save any cookies at all, no cookies, no shortcuts, no bookmarks nothing…. but tell me, i manually type the address even then it goes to a alien site, how can that be possible?
cookies gets automatically saved in your computer as you move from site to site.. some uses them to sign you in.. some to track your choice and preferences. Yet some store data that hijacks your home page or redirects you to some other depending upon which site you access most. You dont need to save cookies manually – they get saved even when you are unaware. Hence asked you to use a tool to check !
but i use the option in internet explorer that deletes all cookies and temporary internet files each time i log out of IE. Not only that I clear the cache and these two folders regularly.
at time they change some registry entries too..
thats even more scary!
Yeah, that doesn’t sound good at all. I would either bookmark the real site or put it as a shortcut at the top so you don’t have to type it into the address bar. Also, if you download and run the free program Malwarebytes (www.malwarebytes.org/) it should get rid of any bad stuff on your system.
have you tested that software in your own computer? i am really paranoid when it comes to running alien softwares in my precious computer.
yeah, I use Malwarebytes on my own computer. I don’t blame you, I get paranoid too, but it’s caught some stuff on my computer and I’ve only heard good stuff about it.
thanks david, i will check it out and install it if possible!
