sharmishtha (trisha)

I have written these stories, some of these have been published in MSN’s reader’s archive 2007-2008 where i wrote under my own name and three pseudonyms.

Some are fresh.. they are written to pass time. hope you will enjoy them.

Wish you the very best in your path of  life.

As for me, i am a very ordinary person, who lives in Kolkata and loves to write. actually i think i am addicted to writing, a thing which i started out of sheer boredom in 2007 has become my greatest hobby.

I am thankful to MSN for accepting every thing i wrote till 2008 december, and that office of mine for boring me to the level of writing.

  1. very true. it helps in so many ways. stress buster, knowledge booster…..

thanks for the warm compliment and the time you spent on reading them.

  2. Lovely intro, Trisha. Long past time I should have read it.

There are worse adictions than writing, no? Anyway, I think it’s really about artistic expression, not adiction. Whatever, I’m glad you have the bug because I do so enjoy your art, poems, and stories.

    Blessings …

  3. Thank You,Trisha for the compliment on my story.Yes I am a former Army man.I was with the 101st Airbourne,a well known American Army Unit.I have been writing for well over 30 years, and I would not call it an addiction, but a love! Each story we tell,we give a little piece of ourselves. It feels good to give, keep it up!Terry

    • I agree, every normal writer adds a little bit of him/herself in every story he/she writes.

I will be waiting for more of your stories. You are a wonderful writer.

  4. Trisha,I got back to finish The English Man.I am really surprised at your grasp of the English language.I was stationed in Europe for 2 years, and trained NATO troops, also British troops.I was rather pertubed by them refering to us Americans as the guys from the colonies!I have subscribed to your site, and look forward to reading your posts.I like everything I’ve read!Keep it up!!!Terry

  5. Hi there,

To find your blog is a pleasure I have been indulging myself with. I have deep respect for you. Keep penning and keep inspiring, I am sure lots of readers have found your posts equally entertaining and enlightening!
I have a joyful ride in your blog, and now I’d like to invite you to visit mine. Thank you and have a wonderful day, my friend! :-)

      • either i am hyperactive or you are very irregular. I update my blogs almost every day but you dont, or else my blog doesnot gets the notifications properly.

i always check the notifications from my blog friends every day but you dont seem much regular in blogging posts :)

      • Yeah, you’re right. I don’t have much time to blog. That’s the problem. Teaching and studying have taken most of my time. Not just during the days, but also nights.

I wish I could spend more time on blogging, just like you. I admire your energy and versatility on blogging everyday.

In my case, I guess three posts per week would be sufficient for me at this stage. The thing is that I really need to get this thesis done! Then I’d have all the time I need to write a beautiful post everyday.. :-)

      • there are priorities in life, and hobby can become a great hinderance in the path of career.

so, give first place to your career for the time being, once you are there the world is yours. :)

all the best for all three of them, teaching, studying and blogging.

  6. You have a lot going on and it seems I have a lot to catch up.. I’m definitely looking forward to reading your writing.. always love to connect with fellow writers.. I hope you’ll take a moment to check out my page.. comments and feedback will be greatly appreciated. Happy Writing :)

  7. i wanted to meet you and get to know you since we have become followers to each other recently. you are very talented, and it is nice that you love it and are addicted to it also. all of us should be so lucky to love our jobs, and you have your writings on other sites. congrats to you!

    • thanks a lot Terry. Creativity is my obsession I guess, atleast thats what it seems to me lately. I keep writing and painting whereas my friends vanish from time to time. I feel a bit embarassed sometimes but….

      • as long as you stay true to yourself, this is what matters. friends come and go out of our lives for reasons. some may be there to help you with a problem, like an angel and then move on, some u keep for ever. creativity is a talent within itself, when you can express who you are by painting or writing it is a talent
