abuse of timeline

When I read about these incidents, or the incidents where young boys and girls have been bullied online, resulting in tragic incidents I thank God that when I was in that gentle phase of life our bullying meant directly, face to face or may be a note slipped in your bag, under your door, one that you could easily thrown into oven without reading, bothering to open.

My heart goes out to these people, even if it is something that they have actually done- like a roll on the hay with someone – that in my dictionary is not a sin, every normal human being does it, no one has the right to flash it all over the media.

These things can be avoided to a limit- the two things you can do is approve the things that will show up in your timeline, groups that you run or pages that you have- that is, the billboard of your life visible to everyone you count as your friend, relative. If you think you can approve comments too, I have seen a lot of my wp friends doing that.

Not everyone is worthy of being given a full liberty to do whatever they want in your personal life, and often a friend turned enemy is ugliest of them all.

What is the harm if you approve things before they show up in your timeline? It may save you from utter humilliation!

Just think seriously!

  1. Absolutely, Trisha… The young can be so trusting, at times. Pier group pressure is one reason they allow themselves to be open to abuse. However, we can’t put old heads on young shoulders. Most of us need to experience for ourselves – sadly…!
