Thursday thoughts 28.8.14

Doodhmatiya, a small village near Ranchi. The villagers of this small village celebrate Rakshabandhan in a very beautiful way, Rakshabandhan or Rakhi that fell on 10.8.14 is a special day when sisters tie a thread to their brothers’s wrist and they take an oath to protect them.

The men and women of this villag tie these sacred threads to the branches of trees and take oath to protect them.

The result is beautiful, there village is surrounded by trees and birds and other animals.

Quite a lesson!

  1. It is so ironical and unfortunate that more we have knowledgeable, more we have moved away form the nature. We use all our knowledge of science to go beyond what nature has provided. In the process we become more and more unnatural.
Isn’t the real intelligence lie in converging “our” scientific knowledge with the ways of nature?
