Recently a woman from West Bengal was caught by cops for human trafficking.
Her modus operandi was quite fetching. She had two handsome accomplices. She used to befriend college going girls and then introduce the boy/s as her brother/s.
They used to trap and coax the girls to run away from home.
The rest is an apple pie in India.
Sometimes running away from home seems so movie like, movies present them in such romantic way, dont they? Hindu girl falls for Muslim boy, they run away, parents first become furious then accept. The only movie you can compare to most of the elopes these days is horror movies.
Once you run away, disgrace family it will be really tough for you to return without consequences, and that will be a leverage if your lover is not actually a lover.
These days too many scums are thrashing around in cupid’s garden, with or without accomplices like the aboe-mentioned case.
Believe me, if you go and interview the girls in brothels most of them will tell you something about running away from home or eloping!
