myriad colours of earth

Sharmishtha Basu is an unemployed artist, writer who is out to test her works, see if they can help her to build an “unorthodox” career, a path followed by many before, some has been blessed with success, most have not, let us see what you make of her attempts! A failure or success- it all depends on you. These are pieces from her book, the book is available on createspace and amazon- It is a collection of poems and black and white illustrations that go with them, hope you will enjoy them.

Myriad colours of earth

Be the love you want to have
Or else realize the simple truth
Sooner or later we reap what we sow
We plant our seeds that’s why they grow!

Just be the lover or friend you desire
Sooner or later you will get your mate
Or you too will learn to give and take
‘cause No one will bend backwards for love!

Sooner or later love will reject
A haughty, selfish lover
Who thinks only about self,
And it will just walk away.

You will sit alone on your porch
Nursing your wounded ego
Or if worse, cursing your ego
That robbed you of true love.
