Myriad colours of earth

Do I really look like an angel?
Or stunningly similar to Christ?
I think I am an ordinary soul
Who is yet to get over being human.

It hurts me when someone is rude
I seethe with anger when betrayed
Though I don’t hit back or hurt
I still can’t love a traitor or heartless.

I simply, humbly admit honestly
You have a heart far larger than me
Which somehow resembles God
That is why you can love unconditionally.

I am just an ordinary human being
Neither vengeful, nor messiah
Who prefers to have love for love
So just let me be!
