  1. Need I even mention that The Other Country is exactly like that? Hungary, too, though. Divorce rates are high, and blended families are the norm. But still, you have to get married / live with someone, have kids. Guess it’s not as intense as in India. But people will voice their opinions and give you a piece of their mind, drive home the point how important it is. You don’t get actively shunned. It’s more subtle. Still, why not live and let live? Marriage is not for everyone, a civil partnership is not for everyone. People should choose the best way for them. Easier said than done. And I imagine it’s a bit tougher in India than here.

    • exactly, these people live their lives for physical pleasures and try to force their animal ways on everyone, as they are animals who are ready to leap into nuptial bed with someone they don’t love, like or respect everyone else should too, otherwise they will make that person’s life as unpleasant as they can, but in the end the singles always win 🙂

      • Yes. I swear if they stopped to look at themselves, they’d see how unhappy their lives really were. But that would devastate them to the point of destruction. So they turn it around. I don’t like to think that way, but for some people it also has to be a conscious process: I’m miserable. Why should that make you a happy person? Kind of heard variations on this from my peers. In college.
